Joanna Gorgol-Walerianczyk

I am an Assistant Professor at the VIZJA University in Warsaw. I hold a PhD in Social Sciences (Psychology) from the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Warsaw, and I am also a graduate in Cognitive Science from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.

I am a scientist with a strong interest in chronopsychology research. My work centers on uncovering the psychological and biological mechanisms that can mitigate the negative outcomes often associated with eveningness – a chronotype frequently and unfairly linked to lower productivity or conscientiousness. In addition, I investigate how chronotype and related individual differences impact mental health, including their roles in the development or prevention of depression, anxiety, and overall psychological well-being.
